Ysanne Marshall

Ysanne attended The Greater Hartford Academy of Performing Arts as a Voice Major, and then continued to revolve her education around music when she went to Dean College in Massachusetts. Ysanne graduated from Dean College May 2012, Cum Laude, with her B.A. in Art and Entertainment Management: Communications with performance studies. 

This classically trained vocalist has participated in numerous musicals, countless open mics and showcases, and has opened for big industry names such as The Dream, Donnell Jones and Juelz Santana. Ysanne had participated in the Kennedy Center American College, Theater Region I in 2013, after playing the role of Motormouth Maybelle in "Hairspray” at Dean College in 2012. Fall of 2021 she starred in a one-woman show as Billie Holiday in the production ”Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grille” at The Rep in Portsmouth, NH. 

Within the last four years Ysanne has been a recipient of multiple grants in the arts. The Art Workforce Initiative grant program was given by Connecticut Offices of the Arts, which allowed her to work with Connecticut Public Broadcasting (CPTV). Today still honoring grant program requirements of Match Savings Program given by Assets for Artists/Midas (2019). Spring 2020 Ysanne was awarded by Connecticut Offices of the Arts as a Recognized Emerging Artist and Teaching Artist Mentorship Grant. January 2021 Ysanne was positioned at Northwest CT Art Council as an Arts Community Impact Coordinator. Fall of 2021 received an Independent Artist funding from Free Center.
