I’m a photographer, filmmaker, and publisher from Hartford, CT. I began my journey as a photographer around the age of 10 while exploring different art forms. I stuck with the camera because it had a dual purpose, allowing me to create art and document/archive my life and those around me. I got into filmmaking a few years later, making short films and recreating my favorite movie scenes with friends in middle school. 

While studying photography and video at UConn, I continued to create work for myself. My short documentary film on a fellow art student landed me a job with UConn's Enrichment Programs to shoot and edit video portraits of OUR IDEA Grant recipients. My first solo exhibition in 2016 showcased my first funded short documentary film, Voices: Volume 1, Ballroom, which highlighted voices from NYC’s Ballroom scene and explored its history, the appropriation of Ballroom, and whether or not sacred cultures should be shared on a mass level. 

My artwork focuses on documenting daily life, overlooked moments, and ignored communities. My goal is to showcase those who should be seen and heard and to use my art as an outlet for them to tell their own stories. Today, I continue to create art for myself, take on commissioned projects, and run/publish Aislin Magazine. I am also working as the Creative Coordinator for SPIN Magazine.
